Sdey Avraham Revealed

A Living Archive of Stories, Faces, and Legacy
Ahuva and Danni at work

In a moving celebration of memory, community, and identity, the residents of Sdey Avraham are now part of a unique initiative that brings their personal and collective histories into the light. Thanks to the extraordinary dedication of Ahava and Dani Klein and in collaboration with the Eshkol Regional Council and Yad Ben-Zvi – the project “Sdey Avraham Revealed” has officially launched its online presence, offering a beautiful and ever-growing glimpse into life in this special corner of Israel.

A Community Gift

The project is nothing short of a gift to the moshav. It began with deep listening, countless conversations, and the understanding that behind every home lies a story worth preserving. Five families have already been featured: Frida Nefrin, Moshe and Chaika Shusterman, Veronica Neiman, Marcelo and Paulina Tregerman, and Batya and Akiva Shmueli. More families are soon to follow. Each story is accompanied by professional photographs that capture both the individuals and the spirit of Sdey Avraham.

More Than Just History

This is not a static archive but a living family album – one that can grow, evolve, and deepen over time. It’s a place where younger families can learn about the roots of their community, where newcomers can feel part of something bigger, and where the legacy of pioneering, resilience, and belonging is celebrated in every frame.

Residents are warmly invited to take part. All it takes is the desire to share. There’s no need for prior preparation or writing skill. Every family, no matter how long they’ve lived in the moshav, has a place in this narrative.

Save the Date: A Festive Evening of Photography and Belonging

To mark this milestone, a festive event will take place on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at the community club in Sdey Avraham. The evening will feature the opening of a permanent photography exhibition showcasing life in the moshav – its people, places, and moments of connection.

A Legacy That Will Continue

As one team member put it:

“Ahava and Dani, you’ve given the moshav a priceless gift. This could not have happened without you. We promise that even after you leave, we will continue your work so that every family in Sdey Avraham can tell its story.”

This initiative exemplifies the power of community storytelling. It reminds us that behind every window, behind every name, there is a legacy that deserves to be seen—and remembered.
